We are living in a post-literate world, so no doubt the movie will enjoy more celebrity than the book. (The script plucks two fabulous Jews from history and imposes on them fictional biographic themes.) This new article by Gordon is noteworthy in that it may provide the key for unlocking a Pop Culture mystery which has never been adequately explained. It would be prudent to illustrate future versions of this article with facsimiles of the quoted headlines from Toronto , Cleveland and New York papers. I do not dispute the Gordon thesis at all.
